Diane Catalano, Audiologist
Diane was born and raised on Long Island, New York and relocated to North Carolina in 2007. She lives in Wake Forest with her husband and two children. Their eleven-year-old Irish Setter Renee rounds out the team! Diane enjoys reading, movies and walks on Wake Forest's beautiful trails and greenways.
Diane attended Adelphi University, where she received her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders as well as her graduate degree in Audiology. She went on to attend Salus University, where she earned her doctorate in Audiology. Prior to joining Heritage Audiology, Diane spent nine years at Duke University Health System. She also has experience in the ENT private practice and school settings.
Diane is Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology and is licensed to practice audiology in the state of North Carolina. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the North Carolina Audiology Association. Diane is the proud daughter of Argentinian immigrants and speaks Spanish fluently. She is passionate about treating hearing loss in order to help her patients re-establish strong connections with their family and loved ones. Her main interests include the evaluation of hearing in the adult population, hearing aids, and tinnitus evaluation and treatment.

Susan Bergquist, Audiologist
Susan grew up in South Jersey - right outside of Philadelphia. Following grad school, Susan and her husband lived in Boston before making the move to NC in 1998. When not at Heritage Audiology, Susan enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband have two sons, one at UNC Charlotte (Go Niners!) and one living and working in Charleston, S.C.. You will often find the family biking on the Greenways, walking their dogs or working out together!
Susan received her graduate degree in audiology from Washington University in St Louis. She began her career working at the prestigious Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and worked 12 years at Duke University Hospital. Susan is excited to now be working in a more intimate setting in her hometown of Wake Forest, NC.
She is certified in audiology by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds licensing from the NC Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists and the NC Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Board. She enjoys helping patients reconnect with others through advances in hearing aid technology and also enjoys finding solutions to help people with their tinnitus.
Sara Pastoor, Audiologist
Sara has been a resident of North Carolina since relocating from Northern Virginia in 2007. She currently lives in Cary with her husband, daughter, and a Labrador Retriever named River. When Sara is not practicing audiology, you might find her rooting for her favorite sports teams, reading the latest thriller, or planning her next trip to Topsail Island.
Sara attended Radford University and received an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She later earned a Doctor of Audiology degree from Towson University. Sara spent over 16 years working for the Duke University Health System. She also has experience working in the VA Healthcare System, as well as in ENT practice settings.
Sara holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Sara wants to help people find solutions that not only work for their hearing loss but also fits their lifestyle and unique communication needs.
